Tomb Raider

The Tomb Raider series is back with a new Lara Croft.Rather than a sequel crystal dynamics created a prequel featuring a younger Lara Croft struggling for survival.Visually the looks and feels great, but will this installment push the series forward or will it fail miserably?

The game is set in an island named Yamatai, off the coast of Japan. Lara and her crew were on an expedition of finding the lost island of Yamatai and have crash landed in the island.Lara must reunite with her crew and find the secret behind the island's strange behavior. You play as Lara Croft in a third person perspective. The game borrows some elements from the Uncharted series and some RPG elements, such as engaging in hand to hand combat, using stealth kills and leveling up.There are Quick Time Events that require you to press the button at the right moment, they may be tedious at first but as you progress you will see less of them.Weapons can also be upgraded to increase your ability to survive and you can upgrade them to hold more arrows and ammunition. The game's campaign lasted for over 12-15 hours which is not bad because you will have the chance of completing multiple side quests, optional tombs and exploring the island. However, Tomb Raider's multiplayer feels a bit shallow and lackluster.

The Tomb Raider reboot is fantastic. It's story is great and exploring the island and it's optional tombs will hook you for hours to come.
