Assassin's Creed IV: Black FlagBlack Flag greatly expands over it's predecessors by improving gunplay, side-missions, combat, and controls (mostly).Sailing in the vast west indies with your fully owned ship, the Jackdaw, is amazing. Also, Black Flag introduces us to the badass Edward Kenway, the father of Haytham Kenway and grandfather Connor Kenway, Assassins Creed III's stars.Throughout his journey, Edward will meet with many of the Caribbean's most famous pirates, making it the most distinguishable AC game.

#9

#8
Grand Theft Auto V- One of the most anticipated games of the 7th gen of games. GTA V added more variety to the gameplay.Vehicles handle more properly, compared to IV.Most notably is the HUGE open world that never feels empty.Micheal, Trevor, and Franklin are memorable characters with their own personality.Overall, it's a must play.

#7
Red Dead Redemption-It's a Grand Theft Auto with a western style.Red Dead Redemption offers a large open world structure, that's full of side-missions and quests.John Marston's story is memorable and the game's best aspect. It's the most mature game that developer Rockstar has ever made.

#6
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots- MGS4 ended the Metal Gear saga with long cutscenes, plot twists, and confusions (similar to MGS2).Some may say that it's the weaker of the series, while that's understandable, due to it feeling like a movie. However, MGS4 manages to deliver a stunning conclusion to Big Boss, Solid Snake, the Patriots, and many MGS characters's stories. Thus, making it one of 7th gen's memorable games.

#5
Batman Arkham City- Batman Arkham City greatly improves over Arkham Asylum by adding more gadgets, riddler trophies, characters, an expanded open world, more villains, and more, you get the idea.
Although, Asylum had a great story, City's epic conclusion beats it.

#4
BioShock- One of this generation's best and most horrifying games.Exploring Andrew Ryan's underwater city of Rapture, alone and forsaken, is a horrifying, yet unique experience.Mixing weapons with plasmids offers a tactical advantages against enemies such as the Big Daddies and adds variety to the game play, which never becomes boring.Overall, BioShock one of the most original and surprising game of this generation.

#3
Portal 2- Portal 2 is one of this generation's most memorable and best written games. Not only it improves over the original by length, but adds more humor.Once again, you are trapped with GLaDOS, the AI who tried to kill you in the first game, trying to escape the now deceased Aperture Science.Throughout the game, you'll encounter many complex characters and some fun Easter eggs. The cake isn't a lie.

#2
The Last Of Us- One of the best survival horror games of the 7th generation. The writing, voice work, sound design, and level design is outstanding. The story of Joel and Ellie in the post-apocalyptic US, is memorable.Rather than directly engaging enemies, you are encouraged to tactically eliminate them, thanks to the game's level design. It's a game that must be experienced to be understood, which is rewarding in the end.

#1
Super Mario Galaxy- Although the Wii had some lackluster games later in it's life cycle, Super Mario Galaxy and it's sequel were among the Wii's best games. While Galaxy 2 added new gameplay elements, the original remains the best.Super Mario Galaxy is full of originality, great music, and brilliant levels. It's the best game of the 7th generation.
