Bastion

Bastion is a remarkable game, and I don't say that regularly.It's due to the fact that's it's full of creativity and imagination behind it.You'll be exploring and gaining new weaponry and items, which is a blast using them.So is it worth your hard earned time and money? Definitely!

Story- You take the role of "the Kid", as referred by the narrator, as he explores the land of Caelondia. However, a tragic event called, the Calamity, have left the graceful land of Caelondia in ruins.In order to restore it to it's former glory, the Kid, guided by the narrator, must power up and expand the Bastion by collecting crystal cores that once powered it.During his journey he'll meet up with some interesting survivors and challenges.

Gameplay- Bastion is an action adventure game with role-playing elements.You'll hack and slash your way through those well put and detailed levels and you can select your load out before barging in.The Kid can carry up to two weapons, and a special ability.Weapons range from a hammer, repeater, machete, and so on.There is so much to discover that you'll want to revisit some of these levels on new game plus, which starts over again, but keeps your progress.

The levels are well designed and detailed,
making this adventure worthwhile.

Visuals & Sound- Bastion is stunningly beautiful, it's rich colors and detailed environments are a joy to look at.Also, character models and animations are solid and fluid.The narrator is the only one doing the talking, but he's alright.The soundtrack is one of the best, it fits the stunning atmosphere and delivers some great moments.

Overall- Bastion is one great adventure.While story may not make much sense, it's great gameplay, stunning presentation, rich visuals, and awesome score make it among the best indie games.
