No Man's Sky (Hello Games)
British developer, Hello Games' No Man's Sky, is one of 2015's most visually attractive game. You take the role of an explorer, along with a spacecraft, can visit many numerous planets. Also, No Man's Sky feature planetary exploration, space battles, oceanic exploration, and predators in various planets. All I can say is... AMAZING.
#8
Mortal Kombat X (Warner Bros. Interactive)
The tenth main installment in the gory Mortal Kombat (!!!) series is coming this year with an April 14, 2015 release date. I really liked MK9, with its brutal X-ray moves and engaging fighting. Returning Kharacters included Raiden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion (obviously), and more.In addition, NeatherRelam will be developing MKX, which they did a good job on Injustice as well.
#7
Quantum Break (Microsoft)
Quantum Break, by Remedy Games and published by everyone's favorite, Mircosoft Studios.Set in a futuristic setting, Jack Joyce and Beth Wilder, must save the future before time literally breaks apart. The game is a third-person shooter with cover mechanics and time-manipulation powers. Interestingly enough, a Quantum Break TV series is also in production.
#6
Xenoblade Chronicles X (Nintendo)
Yesterday's Nintendo Direct featured Xenoblade Chronicles X's exploration trailer, I was stunned by how massive and beautiful the game is when after the trailer. Seriously, anyone who says the Wii U is under-powered is lying. I'm not a fanboy or anything, its just the scope and amount of depth in Xenoblade Chronicles X.
#5
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (Sony Computer Entertainment)
#4
Batman: Arkham Knight (Warner Bros. Interactive)
One year after Arkham City, Batman is facing chaos in Gotham; Scarecrow, along with Batman's enemies, are planning to finally kill The Dark Knight. While this plot-scheme is always overused, it seems imminent this time (come on, its not like Batman's gonna DIE or anything). The combat is similar to its predecessors, with great hand-to-hand and gadget utilizing combat. Also, the Batmobile makes its grand appearance as a playable vehicle. The Batmobile is bullet-proof, and can be summoned anytime at will. Additionally, like Batman, the Batmobile can be upgraded and improved. All-in-all, Batman Arkham Knight is one of most anticipated games of 2015, coming June 6!
#3
Persona 5 (Atlus)
Persona fans' wishes finally came to true when series developer and publisher, Atlus, finally announced, Persona 5.In terms of color schemes, Persona 3 was blue, Persona 4 was yellow, and Persona 5 is red (yikes!), which implies a dark, grim setting.Series composer, Shoji Meguro, returns for P5 (which I loved his work on P3 and P4's soundtrack). While gameplay trailers aren't shown yet, one could assume that its more refined and improved over its predecessors.
#2
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami)
#1
The Legend of Zelda Wii U (Nintendo)
Remember the E3 2011 Zelda Wii U tech demo? Compare it to E3 2014's Zelda Wii U trailer and you'll see a difference.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the new art-style, which reminds me of Wind Waker (my favorite LoZ game!). Furthermore, Zelda Wii U borrows from A Link Between World's non-linear gameplay style, such as completing dungeons in any order and hopefully the rental system as well. Also, series director, Eiji Anouma is always stating that he wants to change how the The Legend of Zelda series is played, which brings hope for more interesting additions.
In a recent interview with series producer, Shigeru Miyamoto, regarding the scope of the game... One area in Zelda Wii U is the ENTIRE map of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Yeah, that's how big it is.
Thursday 15, 2015 and a Top 15?! This is an outrage! Anyways, that's our 15 games for 2015. What are you most anticipated for: Uncharted 4, MKX, or Arkham Knight or maybe the games mentioned in the list?

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (Sony Computer Entertainment)
Nathan Drake is on PS4! |
Uncharted 4 has finally been announced at last year's E3 2014, with a sub-title, A Thief's End. Drake is back is looking better than before thanks to hardware power of PS4. As you can probably tell, Uncharted 4 is probably a dark story with series' protagonist, Nathan Drake.
#4
Batman: Arkham Knight (Warner Bros. Interactive)
The Dark Knight rises on next-generation consoles. |
#3
Persona 5 (Atlus)
The long awaited P5. |
#2
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami)
The most anticipating story of the year. |
The second part of the MGSV saga is finally coming this year. The Phantom Pain features more open-world environments, more freedom to execute missions, and an epic story in the series. Kiefer Sutherland still voices Big Boss, which I found to be good, and Mr. Kojima is putting in more crazy humor into the game (seriously, how did he make cardboard boxes with model posters fit into the dark mood of the game?). Nevertheless, MGSV: TTP is gonna be a dark, fun-filled adventure.
The Legend of Zelda Wii U (Nintendo)
The next Wind Waker/Twilight Princess-like Zelda game, probably. |
Don't get me wrong, I really like the new art-style, which reminds me of Wind Waker (my favorite LoZ game!).
