Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The latest entry in the Metal Gear series is here, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.Running on the new Fox Engine and serving as a prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is it with the 30$ value?

Ground Zeroes takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker , with Snake on a mission to extract two highly valued prisoners from Camp Omega.Without telling much about the story (because that's all the story there is)  let's head to the game play. Game play wise, Ground Zeroes has the best game play mechanics in a Metal Gear game .Controlling Snake never felt more realistic and awesome.Camp Omega is vast, but not as open as The Phantom Pain, but still is great to navigate through.Enemy AI's are smarter than ever, especially on hard mode, can now work together to locate Snake throughout the game.for the first time in a Metal Gear  game, the ability to have access a vehicle is available, letting you decide how to plan and escape. CQC is more dynamic, fluid, and fast.Weapons are limited but work and look good.As for the soundtrack, it has a good selection of songs but not as stunning as the rest in the series. The major criticism about Ground Zeroes' length may sound degrading, but there is a lot of content to enjoy.besides the story mission, there five side-ops that will challenge you to get the highest rank which will take some time to reach. If you have the PS3 / PS4 version, you will be treated with the "deja Vu" mission which acts as a tribute to the amazing Metal Gear Solid. If you have the Xbox 360 / Xbox One version, you will be treated with the "jamais Vu" mission in which you take the role of Raiden, on a mission to eliminate Body-Snatchers disguised as enemies, similar to Hideo Kojima's game, Snatcher. One more major complain is the absence of the awesome David Hayter as Snake. Kiefer Sutherland does a good job as Snake, but needs more work.Lastly, Ground Zeroes offers a lot of replay value. While the main mission can be finished within in an hour or so, there are the well hidden XOF patches scattered throughout Camp Omega. The side missions will also provide lots of replay value.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is a nice addition to the series and a good look into the Fox Engine's power. It may be short and the story left many wanting for more,   but for Metal Gear fans craving for some action, it's worth the 30$ value.Hopefully, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will address Ground Zeroes' issues and will be worth the wait.
