Wolfenstein: The New Order

The Wolfenstein series is back and better than ever.Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Works, it's looks stunning. Is it one of the year's best shooters?

Story- Set in the 1960s, the Nazis have won World War II.It's up agent B.J Blazkowicz to stop them from further sthe world.Throughout the story, you'll meet some crazy and some disturbing characters, which makes the game's narrative engaging, but feels a bit linear.

Gameplay- Probably the best aspect of the game is the gameplay. Wielding dual pistols, snipers, rocket launchers deals twice the destruction and never felt better.Melee kills are brutal as well as explosive kills.Health kits and shields will aid you through the game.Though, the option of stealth can offer some tactical advantages when dealing with enemies.Furthermore, enemies such as Nazi dogs and robots, requires some tactics to beat. However, there is no option for multiplayer, which would have been fun having a friend in combat. In short terms, it's big guns + gore = Nazi massacre.

Visuals- Visually, it looks and plays great. While not as vibrant and colorful as Infamous: Second Son, it's great.Landscapes  and character models are detailed and stunning.Guns are huge and are very detailed. However, there can be some muddy textures in some areas.

Sound- It's loud and full of Nazis being killed. The game is narrated by B.J Blazkowicz, which gives depth to the story and characters. The sound of mechanical dogs attacking you and being killed, gives the game a feeling of intensity. Also, supporting characters are well done, with some being memorable and some not.

Overall-  The New Order  is an addictive and solid shooter filled with lots of intense moments, thanks to it's storytelling.Despite the issues, it's a fun and worthwhile game.
