15 Anticipated Games of 2015

Persona 5
2015 is going to be a bigger year compared 2014 for gaming, with lots of high-profile games coming out throughout the year and that's why were making it a Top 15. Games such as Persona 5, Metal Gear Solid V, and The Legend of Zelda for Wii U coming out this year. Furthermore, exclusives such as Microsoft's Quantum Break, PlayStation's Uncharted 4, and Nintendo's Splatoon are also confirmed to be released this year. Let's dive right into the year's anticipated games.

#15
Evolve (Take-Two Interactive)
The alien-filled shooter, Evolve!
Turtle Rock Studio's 'asymmetrical Multiplayer', Evolve, features an interesting concept. Four players, which are Hunters, are up against an alien creature, whom is the fifth player. This may be reminiscent to Left for Dead, but nevertheless its going to be a fun gameplay experience.

#14

Star Fox Wii U (Nintendo)
Mr. Miyamoto playing the
game at E3 2014.
The latest Star Fox game has been confirmed and will be coming on the Wii U in 2015. The gameplay-mechanics seem's to be playing differently to that of the previous games. You'll be using dual-screens to control Fox's Arwing, with the Wii U GamePad serving as a cockpit view and the TV screen shows the Arwing. While the game is still incomplete, Mr. Miyamoto stated that it'll be playable in this year's E3, hopefully it won't be too disorienting to play.In case you didn't know, the "Arwing" is Fox's jet fighter.

#13
Bloodborne (Sony Computer Entertainment)
From Software's upcoming (and brutal) game, Bloodborne.
Developed by From Software, who worked on Dark Souls and Demon Souls is their next game, exclusive to the PlayStation 4 system, Bloodborne. The action RPG game is set in a dark, Gothic setting, where you can fight off "nightmarish creatures", which sounds cool to me.Also, the combat is more offensive and maneuvers are more quicker, as well as weapons, which are close-ranged and there's guns! The presentation is looking good due to the PS4's powerful hardware.Personally, I predict Bloodborne is going to be a huge improvement over From Software's previous games.

#12

Scalebound (Microsoft)

Platinum Games' dragon-based game,
 Scalebound.
Exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox One, Scalebound, which is developed by none other than Platinum Games and is directed by Bayonetta creator, Hideki Kamiya. The game is said to "take action into a whole new scale" and you can form bonds with your dragon as the game progresses. Overall, I believe that Scalebound is going to be one of Platinum Games' best game yet.

#11

Splatoon (Nintendo)
Nintendo's latest original game, Splatoon.
Splatoon is a 4 vs. 4 third-person shooter made by Nintendo. The concept is pretty interesting: you play as an inkling, in which you can change between human and squid forms. Also, your goal is to have the territory inked with your team's color, thus earning a victory. Furthermore, in squid form, you can freely swim in your teams ink; however, swimming in enemy ink will slow you down. Overall, Splatoon is a fresh, new concept for Nintendo, and perfectly suits the Wii U's capabilities.

#10
Silent Hills (Konami)
One of my anticipated games
of the year, Silent Hills.
The unexpected collaboration between Metal Gear series creator, Hideo Kojima, and film director Guillermo del Toro, on the ninth installment of the Silent Hill series. Fun fact: its being developed by Kojima Productions and it utilizes the new Fox Engine, which sounds promising. While not much has been revealed, Silent Hills is published by Konami and expected to be released this year, hopefully.

#9
No Man's Sky (Hello Games)
The all-stunning No Man's Sky.
British developer, Hello Games' No Man's Sky, is one of 2015's most visually attractive game. You take the role of an explorer, along with a spacecraft, can visit many numerous planets. Also, No Man's Sky feature planetary exploration, space battles, oceanic exploration, and predators in various planets. All I can say is... AMAZING.

 #8

Mortal Kombat X (Warner Bros. Interactive)
GET OVER HERE!!!
The tenth main installment in the gory Mortal Kombat (!!!) series is coming this year with an April 14, 2015 release date. I really liked MK9, with its brutal X-ray moves and engaging fighting. Returning Kharacters included Raiden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion (obviously), and more.In addition, NeatherRelam will be developing MKX, which they did a good job on Injustice as well.

 #7
Quantum Break (Microsoft)
Xbox One's biggest exclusive, Quantum Break.
Quantum Break, by Remedy Games and published by everyone's favorite, Mircosoft Studios.Set in a futuristic setting, Jack Joyce and Beth Wilder, must save the future before time literally breaks apart. The game is a third-person shooter with cover mechanics and time-manipulation powers. Interestingly enough, a Quantum Break TV series is also in production.

#6

Xenoblade Chronicles X (Nintendo)
One of Wii U's most impressive games of 2015, Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Yesterday's Nintendo Direct featured Xenoblade Chronicles X's exploration trailer, I was stunned by how massive and beautiful the game is when after the trailer. Seriously, anyone who says the Wii U is under-powered is lying. I'm not a fanboy or anything, its just the scope and amount of depth in Xenoblade Chronicles X.

#5

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (Sony Computer Entertainment)
Nathan Drake is on PS4!
Uncharted 4 has finally been announced at last year's E3 2014, with a sub-title, A Thief's End. Drake is back is looking better than before thanks to hardware power of PS4. As you can probably tell, Uncharted 4 is probably a dark story with series' protagonist, Nathan Drake.

#4
Batman: Arkham Knight (Warner Bros. Interactive)
The Dark Knight rises on
next-generation consoles.
One year after Arkham City, Batman is facing chaos in Gotham; Scarecrow, along with Batman's enemies, are planning to finally kill The Dark Knight. While this plot-scheme is always overused, it seems imminent this time (come on, its not like Batman's gonna DIE or anything). The combat is similar to its predecessors, with great hand-to-hand and gadget utilizing combat. Also, the Batmobile makes its grand appearance as a playable vehicle. The Batmobile is bullet-proof, and can be summoned anytime at will. Additionally, like Batman, the Batmobile can be upgraded and improved. All-in-all, Batman Arkham Knight is one of most anticipated games of 2015, coming June 6!

 #3

Persona 5 (Atlus)
The long awaited P5.
Persona fans' wishes finally came to true when series developer and publisher, Atlus, finally announced, Persona 5.In terms of color schemes, Persona 3 was blue, Persona 4 was yellow, and Persona 5 is red (yikes!), which implies a dark, grim setting.Series composer, Shoji Meguro, returns for P5 (which I loved his work on P3 and P4's soundtrack). While gameplay trailers aren't shown yet, one could assume that its more refined and improved over its predecessors.

 #2
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (Konami)

The most anticipating
 story of the year.
The second part of the MGSV saga is finally coming this year. The Phantom Pain features more open-world environments, more freedom to execute missions, and an epic story in the series. Kiefer Sutherland still voices Big Boss, which I found to be good, and Mr. Kojima is putting in more crazy humor into the game (seriously, how did he make cardboard boxes with model posters fit into the dark mood of the game?). Nevertheless, MGSV: TTP is gonna be a dark, fun-filled adventure.

 #1
The Legend of Zelda Wii U (Nintendo)
The next Wind Waker/Twilight Princess-like Zelda game,
probably.
Remember the E3 2011 Zelda Wii U tech demo? Compare it to E3 2014's Zelda Wii U trailer and you'll see a difference.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the new art-style, which reminds me of Wind Waker (my favorite LoZ game!). Furthermore, Zelda Wii U borrows from A Link Between World's non-linear gameplay style, such as completing dungeons in any order and hopefully the rental system as well. Also, series director, Eiji Anouma is always stating that he wants to change how the The Legend of Zelda series is played, which brings hope for more interesting additions.

In a recent interview with series producer, Shigeru Miyamoto, regarding the scope of the game... One area in Zelda Wii U is the ENTIRE map of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Yeah, that's how big it is.

Thursday 15, 2015 and a Top 15?! This is an outrage! Anyways, that's our 15 games for 2015. What are you most anticipated for: Uncharted 4, MKX, or Arkham Knight or maybe the games mentioned in the list?
