Extreme Action. |
Yakuza Kiwami 2, revealed last month, is a full-remake of the 2006 Beat 'em up, Yakuza 2, with "Kiwami" meaning extreme in Japanese. In the same essence of Yakuza Kiwami, it aims to expand and improve upon the original Yakuza 2, both visually and mechanically. What makes it stand out compared to Kiwami is that it's running on the Dragon Engine, which is used to power the upcoming Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Over the past weeks, much have been released regarding the games such as the new gameplay features, story scenes, and a slew of additional content. Fan favorite Goro Majima is a playable character in Kiwami 2 and will be navigating though the town of Sotenbori as he did in Yakuza 0. A release date of December 7, 2017 is slated for Japan, though plans for a Western release haven't been announced, yet.
